A Grand French Chateau Chimneypiece in Fleur de Peche Marble.

In the Louis XIV style, it has a serpentine shelf with moulded edge, above a sinuous frieze centred by a gilt-bronze foliage shell, the jambs each with a scrolled volute moulding headed by gilt-bronze mounts surmounted by putti terminating in acanthus, on block feet.

Mid to late 19th Century.
