An ebony humidor lined with Spanish Cedar, inlaid with malachite banding on the sides and a map of Russia on the top with Diamonds showing the location of Moscow and St Petersburg and a gilt bronze Russian Brown Bear mounted on the top of the box.

Glynn Lockett studied Art and Sculpture, before setting up his own restoration studio where he started to make his own objects using rare and precious materials. Influenced by the great 16th century collectors of ethnographic and natural history artefacts originally displayed in cabinets of curiosities of Kunsthammer, his pieces all using natural and often precious materials, have a both historical and modern twist exploring the symbiosis between the finished artwork and the materials used.
