Lizard Lamp by Glyn Lockett

Exceptional and totally Bespoke Table lamp, made the artist Glyn Lockett. 

The table lamps has been made using silver leaf on Bamboo, Rhea egg lamp shade, with silver gilt ants on a base of lizard leather with an oxidised silver plated  lizard and camel bone.

This is a fantastic opportunity to start collecting at the beginning of a collection, all pieces are handmade one off pieces.  

Glynn Lockett studied Art and Sculpture, before setting up his own restoration studio where he started to make his own objects using rare and precious materials. Influenced by the great 16th century collectors of ethnographic and natural history artefacts originally displayed in cabinets of curiosities of Kunsthammer, his pieces all using natural and often precious materials, have a both historical and modern twist exploring the symbiosis between the finished artwork and the materials used.
