A 19th century French Chimneypiece in Portoro marble in the Louis XV manner. It has moulded jambs on block feet, with an elongated S-scroll, below a sinuous moulded frieze with plain corner blocks and a central shield and an arc-en-arbolette shelf. The powerful figuring of the Portoro marble gives it a dramatic presence.
